How Industry is Powering the PM Internship Scheme
The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme (PMIS) is an initiative by the Government of India, educational institutions, and industries enhancing youth employability to national strength. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have come together for the empowerment of students through internship opportunities and meaningful programmes on career development. At the end of Phase 1, more than one lakh internship opportunities have already been generated from over 500 companies engaged in paid internships. It serves as a bridge for the Indian youth who seek to integrate into the world of careers through industry-integrated learning.
